Ground turkey vs ground chicken
« on: January 08, 2016, 02:39:01 PM »
I've only used ground chicken a few times and found it to not taste nearly as good as ground turkey.  DOes anyone else agree with this, and if so, why is it ground chicken is just not good?  I think when I've tried it in the past it has been for tacos.  I think ground turkey tacos taste as good if not better than ground beef tacos....but ground chicken tacos taste like the only thing in the meat is the actual ground!

Make sure in either case you are getting ground dark meat and not ground breast meat. White meat is too dry/lean from either bird to be good in anything.

I agree. We never use ground chicken I don't know why but turkey is way better.. And we generally cook with ground turkey over ground meat any day.
