at the store yesterday and saw a cut that was new to me. it was a big slice of meat with a label that said beef chuck 7 steak. looked like the beef version of a pork steak. said what the heck and picked one up to be grilled today. some of it was a bit tough, but overall it was pretty good. pretty cheap too. anyway, here's the pr0n

dusted with astro pigs meateor shower rub

meat on!

at the flip

shot of buddy chugging along

resting

a nice medium

7 bone steaks and roasts are a cut from the chuck with a cross section of the scapula bone visible. I like the flavor of chuck. I usually marinate the steaks.

Great flavor there. I like these a little thicker and cooked like a chuck roast for pulled beef. They make a really nice pepper stout beef or similar variation too.

Never cooked one myself, but when I see them in the store I think pepper stout beef. Looks good seared too!
