I'm a tempting chorizo mixed with ground beef and I don't think it's going to work. I think the chorizo is to greasy

Just cook it and see what happens. Yes it's greasy but so is ground beef.

You might be interested in chouriço, aka "spanish chorizo" (actually, Portuguese too) if you can find it. Has a similar taste and so on as chorizo but not greasy. Almost dry in fact.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Where are you in the process?  Already on the grill or still making patties?

Chorizo can tend to fall apart. When I used to make it even the cased sausage would have a looser texture than bratwursts or other types of sausage.

As long as they were cooked to 160 they are definitely fine to eat. Next time you may want to par cook the the chorizo to render a little fat out, then cool the meat and mix that in with ground beef. I haven't tried this but trying to think of something that might help out for the next go!

How about putting the Chorizo on top of the patty only by lightly pressing it in? It will crisp up when you cook it but not make the entire burger fall apart.
