...but I'll take it. I was all set on getting a Crimson Performer Platinum until a NIB Black Performer Platinum showed up on CL for $265. After emailing a few times, we still hadn't worked out a time to meet for a deal. In the meantime, I stopped in Ace Hardware to see if I could lay eyes on a Crimson...no such luck.
But I did find this. It was marked down to $299...not a huge savings, but works for me. Assembly will begin shortly!

Cool grill and at a discount. Get 'er up and running.

Nice find!

I have the same one Todd, you will love it.

Well, assembly was straightforward enough. Took a little while since my 4 year old insisted on "helping" me out. I ran into one small problem though. Instead of getting the screw for the lid handle, I got an extra axle nut. Anyone know what size screw I need? I figure I'll email customer service, but wouldn't mind just picking one up locally if someone knows the size. Thanks!

I love the brick red, if you need to upgrade to a wood handle let me know, I toss in a stainless screw for nothing.....

Very nice! I'd call that a score. 8)

I may upgrade in the future. In the meantime, do you know what size screw I need for the plastic handle?

It's some weird screw, it's like a wood screw but it's got a flat bottom with no point. Maybe something Weber has made. I'm sure I have some lying around, I always take off the horrible plastic handles.

False alarm. My son just asked me if I needed the screw he had. Grrr. All is well now. 8)

Haha, that's funny.
And yes, this is a nice score! Performers are awesome.
