Title: Inserting Pic/image
Post by: cartandpeg on December 13, 2013, 03:38:03 AM
Hi All,
Okay I have had a search and I have tried to insert an image ( photo) so I am going to ask the question ( I would dare say it is staring at me but it is not hitting me) How do I insert a photo? I know it is most probably simple thing to do,so could some body please just point to the info or link please.

Ah ha I just found some info about photo bucket so I will give that a try. :-[

All good managed to work it out, problem was I was not that savvy with photo bucket.

Okay, so you have to have your pics listed on a website like Photo Bucket or the like and post a link to that pic, right?  In other words you can't simply upload a pic from your phone, right?

Nevermind.  I just saw the post on the Trading Post.  Got it.  Now I have to go set up a PhotoBucket account...

Is there a way of adding images that are on a Google+ account? I tried but they just showed up as broken links. I would prefer not to have to use another imaging account (such as Photobucket) when my images automatically upload to my Google+ account from my phone. Using Photobucket's not a deal breaker, just a hoop that I would prefer not to have to jump through.

Yup, open up the pic preview and right click on the image, and choose "copy image URL"

It should copy something like this to your clipboard:

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-phZJTVjjwas/T1f8hC73HGI/AAAAAAAAA-w/KbKR0D9tDEQ/w962-h644-no/NKN_3497.JPG

Now insert that into the IMG tags (mona lisa icon in the full reply screen)

and you'll get your pic posted:

This doughnut place is called the Vault.  It is five feet wide by ten feet long.  There is a counter with enough space for a guy to stand behind with a bakers rack full of doughnuts.  It is open from 8:00 until sold out, if you get there by 9:30 you'll be too late.  They are $3 a piece and doughnut holes are 2 for $1.  What you see there was $17.  It's cash only and that's all the cash we had.  The line was around the corner and down the block, and it was 8 degrees when we got there.....normally a dozen would fit in that box at a regular doughnut place.  Here only six fits, that doughnut is like six inches across.....
