Adapter works great.

You've got some great friends!  What is the pizza adaptor made out of?

Steel.  This guy I met on the Brethren and I started helping him with his comps.  I got to learn a ton from him and get to become great friends with him and his family, and all for the love of cooking good food.

Well that's one way to get our attention. Looks sweet man. I like that old NB offset in the back too.

Keen to hear more about this mate!  I love woodfired pizzas! Would love to be able to do them at home also.

So there is an aluminum deflector plate which sits on top of the adapter that I use when it get's up to temp.  It's a steel adapter.  It has cross bars which allows me to use it for a two level cooks also.  Sometimes I cover the hole with heavy duty foil and use it as "smoker".  I use this thing all the time.  Just had a BBQ/ wood fired pizza party last weekend and I made 34 pizzas in it.  They cooked in 2-4 minutes.  It can get up to over 800.  Love the set up.  On a side note, MAN my beard was small there.  haha

That is sweet!  That stone looks like a monster. What size it that and where did you find it?  Thanks!

The stone is a very old Pampered Chef one.  I believe it's a 14"er.  Could be wrong.  I now use a Red Sky grilling co. stone.  It is by far the BEST stone I've ever used.  It's rated for 2400 degrees.  It has a 'slice' taken off the back to fit the Weber kettles and allows for re fueling with using the hinged cooking grates.  They're around $65 shipped.  http://redskygrilling.com/shop.html (http://i844.photobucket.com/albums/ab8/abossie/red_skiy_home_image_zpsa596b1fb.jpg) (http://s844.photobucket.com/user/abossie/media/red_skiy_home_image_zpsa596b1fb.jpg.html)
