Title: Sometimes you want a sear instead of grill marks
Post by: aaronw915 on October 08, 2020, 02:06:13 PM
Using flat side of grill grates for these chuck eye steaks

Tomatoes and hot pepper from my waning garden

I agree that grill marks alone are overrated.
But with my CI grates and a hot bed of coals I can get both at once. Sear and grill marks,

That's some fine lookin cookin right there.

You made me hungry!

Is it just me or do those peppers taste so much better when they start to turn reddish? I always loved my jalapenos when they were picked late and turning.

I agree 100%. I love when the peppers begin to turn red. They taste more peppery I think
