Title: Glen Blue + Cajun Bandit
Post by: cclinard1 on September 13, 2020, 01:19:52 PM
Decided the GB was going to be a roti setup.  First run on it going pretty well.  A lot of space in there!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200913/de26283baede31124875fec10439960d.jpg)

And the chicken almost done.  Skin isn’t perfect but happens...(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200913/2abe32807a28c5b27df1a5abcbc7c86d.jpg)

Sweet looking 26” GB setup.
Chicken looks tasty, I’d eat it.

How do you like your Yoder pellet smoker?

Love the Yoder.  I’ve only had it for 3-4 months.  It’s the YS640s on orange comp cart.  It’s really versatile.  Capacity is more than I really need.  Fit 6 pork butts on the bottom July 4th weekend...room for more if using the top shelf.  I have the full and half depth shelves.  The FireBoard control/app is great.  GrillGrates work really nice too.  (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200913/49e930c99ccfc9872ecc6ec83cff823e.jpg)

Powder coated 18 gauge steel for the 26.  The 22 version is stainless.

Have you found basket that will fit the rod yet.  So far, I have been unable to locate a basket with a hole large enough to fit the rod.  Also, it would be nice to find a basket that was wider than 14 inches.

Thanks,

Robert

They don’t make it in SS for the 26.  Prob a cost thing...it’s pretty big.  It’s powder coated 18g steel.

For not wanting Rust Issues and ease of clean-up over the last ten(10) years I have mainly purchased BBQ Equipment that are stainless steel, i.e., SlowNSear Plus, SlowNSear DripNGriddle Pan,SlowNSear Easy Spin Grate,SlowNSear Elevated Grate, Cajun Bandit SS Rotisserie Kit, etc.  For example, I replaced the hard-to-clean Weber Performer Deluxe Original Grate which also had rust issues with the SS SlowNSear Easy Spin Grate which is much easier to clean and maintain. To Date I remain one-happy Customer with these prior purchases.

However, I also agree that Glen Blue's Cajun Bandit is a nice set-up!

[url]One Grill[url] has a selection of basket styles to fit all rotisserie rods. I am happy with the baskets that I have purchased from them.
