Faded or grey?(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200712/cf623dba1d3f8812197ebce5298b0482.jpg)

True grey. One way to tell is a faded black kettle will not have a shine or reflective quality to it. The kettle above has a reflection of the sky, clouds and a house.

Thanks! Surprisingly I was able to secure her as she was on MP for 4 hours when I first seen her. Don't see many of these up for sale.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200712/2cfca51a5ca552b6e0a8e39024e0a332.jpg)

Another way (besides the absence of shine/sheen) to tell a true gray from a faded black is the bowl in the faded black will still be partially (if not completely) black. There will be a clear difference in color between the bowl and lid.
