Title: Post your GGA cooks
Post by: HoosierKettle on February 21, 2020, 05:18:40 AM
I’ve decided to try and do all of my cooking with a GGA for a month. Partially for fun and partially for convenience since I’m working on the house at night.

Last night I loaded it up with what I normally would have used the 26”. Some thin center cut pork chops. It did pretty well considering it was 26 degrees and the little bottle wanted to freeze up.

A keen eye will spot something that’s not stock on this grill

Midgetized!

No I’m not smart enough to attempt that but it would be cool.

I haven’t seen a GA with those style handles before so my guess is the handles.

Did you repurpose flavorizer bars from a regular gasser

Negative. It is visible in both pictures. I guess it’s harder to tell than I thought.

Close enough!  This one was missing the grate. I cut the middle out of an old 22 grate with an angle grinder.

I’m already going to have to work later because of this thread lol.

Tonight was Michael Militello’s homemade hot Italian sausages and a side dish I thought up. It was sweet bell pepper, zucchini, tomato, salt, pepper, Italian herbs, crushed red pepper, olive oil, a little balsamic vinegar and mozzarella I added at the end. It was really good. The little GGA always does great on sausages. The fineness of grind and the flavor of these sausages is incredible. Way better than any store bought
