I am restoring a 1992 Genesis 1000 Redhead.
Mostly there...works well.
But, the propane weight-driven gauge is missing the stamped metal bracket that goes over the tank lip and secures it tightly with a wingnut.
This bracket (and wingnut) seem unobtanium....or my search skills suck...or both.
Any idea where I can find the clamping bracket and related wingnut?
Thanks in advance.

I never really understood why that is needed. The weight of the tank itself holds it good enough. Maybe theft prevention? Less is more...

Understood.....until you move it across uneven terrain, the tank falls off, and tears the propane hose........

Either source it from a donor frame or fab one.

Keep an eye out for free or cheap grills. They pop up from time to time and are good for parts.
-
@Andyinlz , are you still looking for these parts?
-
Actually, have them.
Weber sent me a new gauge, and the new parts fit perfectly.
Thanks.

Did they send you a complete new gauge for free? Mine seems to be working fine, but has a but of caked on rust on the internals. Wouldn't mind just getting a new one instead.
Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Weber Kettle Club mobile app (http://r.tapatalk.com/byo?rid=91018)

Yes.
Complete new gauge.
New style, but fits and works fine.
