Title: Made a cart for my WSM
Post by: Hambone1950 on May 10, 2013, 09:05:34 AM
As soon as I first assembled my WSM , I knew I would want to have wheels on it. After due consideration and research I built this cart with drop down table. Pretty much all scrap wood and found materials....that's just how I roll. 8)

The table is hinged where it joins the frame of the cart. It's not installed yet , but there will be a metal brace that swings up and catches under a cleat on the bottom of the table. Lift it up...the brace drops down and the hinges let it fold down.

I like the idea of not drilling holes in the legs to add wheels and the side table is super handy .

Nice job, when I had a wsm I was going to configure a creepy crawler because they sit so low and roll so easily.

Exactly . Lots of people drill them and add casters , but I have heard that if the holes aren't dead center  and the wheels aren't dead plumb they will splay out and bend the soft aluminum of the legs.
And , like you say , having the table right there is nice.
