Title: '69 Cado in Action
Post by: javahog2002 on April 26, 2013, 06:46:28 PM
This 40+ year old still has what to takes to cook up some burgers.  I picked up a couple blu  cheese burgers at the local King Soopers (aka Kroger).

Fired up a chimney on the performer and transferred to the Cado.

Everyone is watching to see if the old girl still has the skills to grill.

The lid does not fit like a new kettle. What do you expect ?   ???

Here's a couple shots for the background of my work pc.

Keeping it simple. What else do you really need (for dinner) ?   ::)

I rinsed the lid and damn grease run dropped right down the front of the bowl.  It will come off after it cools.  :-[

Looking good!  Does it get darker once it heats up?

Slice a couple spuds about 1/2" to 3/4" thick, brush with oil and sprinkle with S&P and grill them right next to those burgers. That's what else would have been on the plate at my house. Or broccoli, zucchini, carrots  or even thick onion slices.

I finally fired up my near 40 year old 18.5 last week to do those ducks. They're actually a little better than the one touch grills because air flow is easier to control via the bottom vents.
