Title: burger month entry, the what's for dinner? patty melt
Post by: LiquidOcelot on May 22, 2017, 05:55:00 PM
this was not a planned entry also not a weber cook but since it's a little out if the norm why not.

most of us have been in the spot where we havnt done shopping yet , provisions are running low , and it's close to the kids bedtime. the kids get pasta cuz it's fast and easy but I was just not feeling pasta. so I got to looking. had hamburger meat one sourdough roll and wheat bread and half an onion in the fridge. wheels started turning and this is what I came up with.

toasted the bread

caramelized the onion

formed the patties. with some key seasonings.

the base, my wife got the roll with mustard and I got the wheat bread with bbq and mustard ( my favorite combo)

the end result with some country style frys on the side

t'was great.
