Title: Just a couple birds
Post by: bigmikey on September 10, 2016, 02:04:27 PM
Over some hickory and a little pecan. Loot and booty and buffalo wing were the seasonings. 300 til an IT of 170 in breasts and 180+ in dark meat.

Looks incredibly juicy. I've never done a lower temp bird before. I normally run 375-400 for a crispy skin. What's your thoughts on the different temps?

You sliced that bird perfect btw. Beautiful presentation.

I normally try to go 325 minimum, but it settled in athe 300 so I let it ride. The skin could of been better, it was plenty crispy but didn't bite through near as easily as higher temps.
