Saw this over on another site so I thought I'd give a heads up to all the Texas folks :) :) :)

Damn...maybe I need to take a road trip to Texas!

God I miss Texas. The only brisket I can find under 3.00 a pound is select. For under a buck a pound I'd buy every one they have. I grind brisket for high quality ground meat and I'd be in heaven for that price.

It's been a long time coming , I've been checking the sales papers for months. Picked up some .99 Boston butts and .77 whole chickens there last week, they run those fairly regular but the brisket sale not so much

Be sure to check your local ad before you make a trip, its not in every store, not in mine either :(

What is HEB? Is that a grocery store or meat market down there?
