After 3 calls to weber ordering parts and 3 weeks waiting, i finally got all the proper parts i needed to fire this little guy up. Did some fish and ribs (gone before i could even snap a pic). Now onto the next weber conquest...

Great to hear you got the parts  for your jumbo. I need to start practicing on the one I picked up. I've only made one T-Bone and some asparagus. We're going camping in a month and a half and I'm planning on it being my main Grill cooking for 4 adults and 2 children. Usually I bring a 22 but that's when I have 6 adults and 3 kids. I'm trying to pack a little lighter with the jumbo.

I bought a jumbo joe for the camping reason as well. 2 adults, 2 kids. I'll only speak for me, but I find it lacking for using it for a main cooker if you're not also using a stove or campfire grill. It's perfect for 2 people, but I ended up going back to the 22" for cooking for the entire family. Maybe if I had a smokey joe too, but to me that would defeat the packing purpose. Just my opinion.

Yeah it seems like it would be good for a beach outing or a smaller camping trip. It did, however, fit the entire rack of ribs and 8 pieces of rock fish, so it has potential. Maybe if it came in 22" lol

Thanks! All i needed were the side vents and the wire. 1st go around they sent the wrong size. 2nd go around they sent just 1 vent. After the 3rd try, got the other vent and a free weber apron. Used that guy today. Even has a built in weber bottle opener, so i cant complain.

Its a good little grill for people who cant have a large weber.

I was thinking for brats, burgers, fajitas maybe a few steaks. Nothing too elaborate. (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160819/33cd130c60de8dee975b4d0d64863e60.jpg)this is how we normally roll.
