Excellent feature.  1Buckie was one of the first to welcome me to this site.  As someone who's always willing to share his experience with others he's an important piece of what makes this club special.  Congrats 1Buckie - glad you're here.

Great read, Ken! You're one of the kindest and most knowledgeable people out there and a huge inspiration when it comes to my cooks. I still wonder if we are related somehow. We Hill's are all over the place. I do have some Cali relatives that I haven't met so its wide open.  Keep up the great work!!  8)

Buckies sense of humor & everything he does on a kettle is superb.  What a great asset to our community.
He is the king of bacon wrapped __________!  Man, that dude has gone through some pork belly in his life.  :)

Lawerence, I'm mostly a cooker.....Hank is a Cooker & a Looker (restorer), so my vote is to get GL Rasmussen, Brian, Jeff, or anyone of the Huge Collection Types (H. C. T.'s) to be next up so we can burrow into the thinking & planning & luck it takes to gather the rarities....... 8)

Sad news Ken touched many of us. It didn't matter who you were or where you lived, he was always willing to help everyone out.  RIP Ken.

1Buckie's cooks were definitely inspirational for me as well.  My favorite quote:

"The basic thing for me is I just love to feed people & see them really enjoy it !!!"

I'll be smoking a fatty and grilling up some ABT's soon in honor of this legendary Grillfella.

Never got to "meet" or interact with Ken and for that I am sad. I am grateful that his posts will live on. I have already begun to dive into them. Seemed like an awesome guy!

To this day I still make his sausage w/ BBQ sauce he used to pass around at the meetups

His use of the original Weber wok kept me on my toes using mine.

This was the photo I remember of 1buckie. I think he was grinding really, really hot peppers. He was a colorful character and an amazing grillfella.

That sucks!!! When I first joined here, Buckie's posts were my favourite to read. Always loved his avatar. RIP Buckie.

Sad to hear RIP Buckie!   If you want inspiration on using an 18" kettle look for his posts.

Damn that sucks. Fuck 2020 man. Met Ken when he acquired a logo for me a while back. Took me on a tour of his grill sanctuary. Really nice, sweet dude. Swear he had about 30 plain ol black 22s lol
