Title: Hobo Stew-dutch oven
Post by: Tim in PA on January 04, 2014, 11:06:12 AM
Broke in my new cast iron dutch oven. Great day for it as it was about 8 or 9 degrees when I fired up the grill. I need to learn to pay closer attention. I forgot the cabbage and had to fry it up real quick inside and then I added it later on. Still tasted really good though.

I need to learn better fire control too. I used too many bricks and it was way too hot to start.

Looks great! I just got a Dutch oven for Christmas and am stoked to try it out on the kettles.

This was my first cook with it. I need to learn better heat management but it turned out really well.
