What the hell is that?........ribs in a pan?
I can't say I honestly blame you considering the weather over thepast 24 hours ;D
Crock pot. Lol
That's a 30-day suspension right there.
It is too dang cold to grill, I request a mulligan for ma man Tim.........
Oh my god no!!!!! Honestly I can't blame you. This winter has been brutal to put it mildly
Tim, you're in luck there's a place for you online here: http://www.slowcookerclub.com/ LOL
Wow, I can still log into the site. :p
Actually, it isn't the cold, it is the time. I just haven't had the time to dedicate to a longer cook. My weekends have been busy and there is just no time after work. This was actually cooked yesterday and turned out really well even though I missed a key part of the recipe. Americas Test Kitchen has great recipes so I had faith it would be decent in the crock pot.
If I would have known that I'd have a snow day today, I totally could have cooked it today surrounded by the snow. Oh well. :)
Tim, Do you set it in the morning to eat for dinner?
Yeah
Of my last 5 cooks, three were in the teens, one at 20 and one at 39. It's a matter of determination. But we all have our threshold. Below 10 or maybe zero - depending on how determined I was - would probably be my threshold.
Confessions of a Grillfella gone astray...I did steaks last winter........
in the frying pan on the stove.... I know! Don't hit me.......or hang me up in a meat locker trailer. "summer's gone.... and all the roses are dying..."
Seriously though, I hear ya. It just gets too cold some nights. Like I've said before, I'll take 20 degrees and some snow over no snow and arctic blasts.

I have done ribs in the pressure cooker before. actually came out fairly well.
Crock pot... What's that? LOL!
This pic was taken just a few hours before it went down to -24 here last week. It was probably about 20-below-zero at the time.

My wife mentioned taking out something for dinner and said, "I wish we could grill tonight". Little did she know I had already set the SJ outside and loaded a mini-chimney earlier that day when I was out getting a load of firewood.
