Title: Dutchess Cooker......
Post by: harris92 on November 11, 2013, 02:21:51 PM
Picked up this never used Dutchess Cooker made by Portable Kitchen. Seller said it is from the late 50's.  It even comes with a bag of Dutchess wood chips.

Looks like one of the alien walkers from war of the worlds. That's a cool conversation piece.

Are you going to actually cook on it? Is it aluminum? Looks cool!

The more I see that grill the more I like it. I wonder if those side hooks are for a rotisserie? Great score Harris!

I assume it is aluminum like all PK cookers.

Yes, it is made of cast aluminum.  I will try and cook on it and see what happens.  Portable Kitchen makes good products.

I  wouldn't cook on it. It's unused, and will only be that way once. If I had the one @swamprb posted, It was used, I'd use it again.

I just bought two of these at a yard sale... I had never seen them before and could not pass them up. One is in very good condition, the other needs some help (cleaning, parts).  If anyone wants to buy the more used one, let me know. I'm in SC.

I'm in search of a Dutchess Cooker that is in decent condition.  I have a sentimental attachment from my childhood.  I will be glad to pay a reasonable price if you'd care to sell.  Please let me know.  Thanks, Tom Harris
