I followed this guy for about five miles. Caught up to him at a red light. He had two 22.5's in the back. I ask him what he'd take and he said I'm just scrapping them. So I gave him $10 and went in my way. One is pretty beat up and one is near perfect.

Peas to the Rescue!!!

Ok, the one is a little beat but the other one is in good condition. Just needs a little care. Even the wheels look good. Going off the vent code, it's from '12. Why would anyone just throw it away? All day long people complain about how expensive everything is and how times are tough and then you see someone throw out a Weber that's a year old. I don't get it.
Good on you for chasing it down! It's got years if not decades of grilling to do.
Nice job!
Great rescue! I'm amazed that someone would throw away a 1 year old kettle. Hope it cleans up nicely.
Great save peas!
That's awesome! good eye too.
Yeah. I think I am seeing a pizza kettle mod with the 1 year old kettle and an outdoor lamp with the top from the other one. Not sure about the bottom, it's real beat up.
Lol! I keep playing that scene over in my head. I can only think of what the other guy was thinking when you were honking and waving for him to roll down his window. Great save!
Make a bird bath with the other bottom. It would be morbidly ironic to be cooking chicken and watching her cousins bathing in your garden.
Two saved from the scrap heap. Great job Peas!
