Title: Garden and the Big Muddy
Post by: HankB on September 27, 2013, 05:13:43 PM
That's where this came from. I had a headache this afternoon and took a couple aspirin and had a lie down. By the time I was feeling better I thought it was too late to do much for dinner, but SWMBO sent me a note to say she was stopping at the store and would be late. That gave me enough time to pull a package of frozen fish out and dunk them in warm water for a quick thaw. With that in place, I headed for the garden to see what I could find. There was zucchini and summer squash on the counter but I was looking for something different so I picked the first butternut squash, choosing a small one. There were a lot of broccoli side shoots as well so I grabbed them too. Broccoli that gave us a spring harvest continues to provide!
