Title: Officially a club member?
Post by: LightningBoldtz on September 04, 2013, 05:31:12 PM
OK, I know I am a club member but other than a 1960's Texan I have not had anything unique, especially regarding colors.

Well, I put together my newly acquired 1995 Red Head, I may have paid too much but I thought it was in decent shape.

I hate to do it but since I am not a collector I am going to put up for sale my sweetheart grill, the 1999 Master-Touch, still not sure I am good with that but I will get over it.

Ken,  Your reaction may have swayed me.  It really is the way I feel about it.  Not too comfortable with it.

Guys interested, give me some time to think about it.

LB, I typed essentially the same response as Ken last night, but deleted it without sending.  I don't want you to think I am giving you a hard time  :D .  But I agree, don't sell a MT.  That will lead to regret IMO......

I have kinda of a limit on what I can keep, within the past week I have purchased an 86 kettle and a Red Head.  My initial, irrational thought was to sell what I currently have and use what I bought.  I really think I would regret it.  I am going to cleanup, fixup the '86 and list that.  I have a need for an 18, and already have discussions with a coworker to do a swap.

Thanks guys for the advice.  I really love that MT and would have regretted it I think.

Tough call. My first thought was nooooooooo! But I have grills I have not used in years.  ::)

If you must limit your collection, then just be sure you replace anything you sell with something you want more. Nothing wrong with a small quality collection that meets your needs.

Sorry ma, man I was waffling so much with the idea, I have parted ways with many a grill in my day but I think I would regret this.
