This guy does a shoulder clod for 22-1/2 hours & it comes out nice.....23# piece.........

I really like these & have done them more than brisket, usually smaller though. like 12~15# of the small end, to pull..............
It's a bit long @14 minutes & drags a little, but not too bad.....does it approx. the same way I would...............inject, medium lite rub & go..... he's at a little lower temp than I like, usually 250.....
Excellent info there! Crazy drool factor during the slicing segment at the end.
I haven't tried cooking one of these yet. Sure looks tempting. :)
I love his videos. I have been a fan for a while and watch all of his new posts and have gotten a few real keepers as far as recipes go from him. Between Ballistic BBQ and the BBQ PIT BOYS videos, I always get inspired to grill something. His videos on burger clone recipes are great! I love the stainless steel griddle he had custom made for cooking burgers.
Thanks for posting this, buckie. I see those big beef shoulders in the meat cooler every week, and have often dreamed of cooking one up. Guess I'll need to bring a tape measure to see if there's one small enough to fit on my WSM!
Thanks for the link. clod is on my to-do list.
Edit: I tried to watch. I really did. He turned me off right off the bat with 20 seconds of intro fluff. Then when we got to 5 minutes of hand waving over a piece of meat and then he cuts out trimming and injection, I started skipping ahead. He spends, no wastes too much time talking with no action. I'm not sure what I missed, but I bet there is a decent 4-5 minute video hiding in there.
But the clod did look good and I do want to make one!
Yeah , I skipped ahead some.....he does drag on in spots......the hand waving thing kinda mesmerized me tho.....it was a 23 pound piece of meat...... :o
The ending is pretty good !!!!
