Title: Old Red I picked up today
Post by: landgraftj on August 20, 2012, 04:31:38 PM
Had this as a response in the trading post but I figured it would get more views in here instead...As luck would have it I was in Oak Brook for lunch and figured while I'm out here I'll give the lady in Naperville a call and she still had it. Here's some pics of it, pretty rough. Anyone know how old it is? Also, one of the leg sockets is coming off the weld...can I just drill through it and re-attach with a nut and bolt? I don't have access to a welder so that may be easiest for me. Paid $25 for her.

Anyone know how old it is?

I'd say the mid 1970s like maybe '74-'76. Not a bad score! Does the one leg socket wiggle?

Yes it does...I got the leg out without the socket coming off though  :)

Looks pretty good to me, I think it could be shined up no problem
