I rarely see the kinda 2 tone brown kettles on CL, or anywhere else for that matter. I am fairly new to the "older history" of Weber's, though see quite a few on here have them. I have never seen one in person...... Think they are pretty neat...... Anybody fill me in on some of the history on that color combo & the era they were made?...... Thanks!..... Trying to learn here :)
Here's one. You'll have to ask Harris if it's still available, tho, because it was listed earlier today.
WEBER KETTLE CHARCOAL GRILLE $25

That's a NICE one Kaz! MBH FTW!
Wow that's the closest to me I've seen one. Still a long ways to drive though.
I would take a road trip for it, Mmmmmm.
We're going to Oregon for my folk's 40th anniversary on the 23rd. If I knew he would hang onto it long enough I'd be tempted to make a detour and pick it up so I had something to cook with at Wallowa Lake.
That's a nice one. As for rarity, of the 70s-80s colors, the browns tend to pop up the most. Hogsy and I are brownie fans among others here but I know they are not a huge among civilians and even some in here.. ;D which could be why they pop up on CL more often then say an avocado or a yellow kettle.
Are you going to pick this one up? Looks like anywhere from 77-79 from the picture..
Oh and brown kettles aka Copper Mist came on the scene around 1969 when it replaced Chestnut Copperton (two tone pink) and were renamed Chocolate by the early 80s and still around as late as 1991 (N) code. I think they were still around a few years after that but it's unconfirmed.
I quite like the browns too. That one linked to earlier is nice, is anyone on it?
This is my one and only brown (crappy picture from gumtree ad as it is still at a mates place). H code.

"You know how they work"
There was a red 18" daisy wheel in Bend not too long ago. I was watching it, but the listing disappeared before I had the chance to pick it up.
I love the browns, they look like big juicy hamburgers. Don't ya think?!

I love them too! However I tend to think of the color as chocolate nougaty goodness as I cook juicy burgers and wings on my Warrior. Sort of a sweet and salty association with me ;D
This is a must have accessory for your brownie. Forget the price on this one tho it's ridiculous. I have this same one I picked up for free because they thought it was ugly.

Kaz, I like those metal coolers too. Growing up we had several, Including a two tone red which would look awesome with my redheads. I am sure they were sold at a yard sale 20 years ago. :-[

I'm with you on that, too. ??? ??? I like the flat lid on the older 26ers.
I personally like the look and color of the brownies. :D
Only seen one on CL here in Denver since I have been looking for over a year. Luckily,it's in my back yard now. ;D
This is a 1981 (C code) Two Tone Brownie.

One of the wood handles on the bowl has what I consider a rare logo: Weber The One The Only
