I found this beauty at an estate sale last weekend. Paid a whopping $2 for it. Based on dating research, it looks to be a 1973-76 era model. The kettle has never been used, pristine condition. However, it is missing a very important part to finish assembly. The triangle between the legs is missing. I am hoping I can find one somewhere to make this grill complete. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I would find one? Preferably one that matches the years the kettle was manufactured.
That is a great find and for $2 you stole it! I'm sure someone will be able help you with the triangle.
Wow! What a steal! Did they not have the usual 5 wire triangle in chrome for this era?

That's a beautiful grill.... hard to find new chrome triangles, I believe all they sell now are gray or black painted. A black one would look good in my opinion....

I suppose in this case it would have to be new, you're right. I was thinking a used donor kettle but it just wouldn't be the same. Black would suit it well
