Title: Breaking in the Ivory
Post by: bamakettles on January 29, 2025, 10:13:50 AM
I gave my son a new Ivory Master Touch recently for his birthday and he's breaking it in today with a pork butt.  I decked it out with Zavod handles and rollers, a SS lid handle strap from club members here and a limited edition thermometer / bezel.  Couldn't be prouder - he's also using the Meater Pro I gave him for Christmas and he's texting me pictures.  Thought I'd share here...

Cheers!

That's very cool and a great gift to your son.  Adopt me and then get me a grill too?  :)

I'm planning some downsizing this spring, keep your eyes peeled for some nice grills at great prices in Huntsville!

@bamakettles Where'd you get the new/old handle bracket? I want to do that mod to my Blue 70th Anniversary kettle now!

These were custom made by a very talented member here about 5 years ago.  I've got them on a few kettles and my fire pit.  Not sure these will be made again but if so I'd order more..... @bladz

There is another WKC member who is making these replacement handles.  I have tagged him in this thread and will also text him about your inquiry bgilbert44.
*quick update, I spoke with fivetenchef and he does have quite a few of the handles available.  He will PM you.
