Title: First Time
Post by: LowNSlow77 on August 22, 2024, 05:49:37 PM
Okay, so I finally managed to use the kettle for the first time.  I can see this is going to take some adjustment.  It is a lot different from my Primo XL grill.  Hopefully they taste all right.  I can see a bigger kettle would make things easier.  (At least that is what the wife will hear)

It looks like you are on the right path. There isn't much room on the 18, the 22 is more versatile. I have been using my 26 for everything lately, maybe I should pull an 18 out of the shed to remember what it's like!

18 is perfect for two people.  22 works for 4-5.   More than that, a 26 is what I use.

My execellent Weber Performer Deluxe is a 22" with spacious metal table in which it is fitted with a SlowNSear and their DripNGriddle Pan for almost all of my grilling sessions. Very versatile and has many more accessories available than the Weber 18".

Looks like you're getting a good start.  Yes, quite a bit different than a Primo, or any other ceramic for that matter.

Yes, and let the Missus know what delicious delectables she'll be in store for when (emphasize when, not if) you get to upgrade to 22".
