Title: Top damper plastic tabs
Post by: mike.stavlund on July 19, 2013, 12:34:06 PM
A few weeks ago I rehabbed an EE (99) Performer for a friend.  My some incredible act of ingenuity, the previous owner got the lid hot enough to *melt* the thermoplastic tab that allows you to adjust the lid vent without burning your thumb.

I just called Weber, who told me emphatically that I had to buy a whole damper kit to get the plastic part-- $5 (part #63070, I think they call it a 'nylon damper handle').  I know in the past I've gotten the individual plastic pieces for less than that(and maybe even free), but didn't keep track of the part number.  Does anyone have it?

That's the part # they sent me when mine was missing on my new grill. I just pulled it off of the new vent they sent me.
