Timeline: Mid December 2019
I remember being so very proud of my "collection" and wondering if this was a little overkill having this many grills. I also remember happening upon a sale on Royal Oak charcoal and buying what I thought would be enough for the coming year. I don't think I'd ever bought more than one bag of charcoal at a time lol.... Oh how naive I was.
Just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the wonderful members here and the information and tips you've shared. Looking forward to seeing your cooks and kettles and sharing what I can as we all learn and enjoy this hobby.
Cheers!
And I learned that these things tend to multiply.....Took that Jumbo Joe to the beach a couple weeks ago. I think I gave $20 for it.
Awesome 1st kettles for the beginnings of a collection! "Weberitis" is real!
I know that feeling, thanks for all your Im help and encouragement of the hobby!

I thought I recalled that yours had blossomed in relatively short time. They tend to do that 🤣

4 years between first and 2nd! Similar for me. I bought a brand new black one touch gold in 2013, added an 18 wsm in 2015 as I got into bbq. In 2017, I found the WKC and I'm still trying to find the antidote, lol.

Great post idea - here's my 2010 collection. Still have 1 of the 26 flattops and the jumbo joe. Added quite a few more over the years, but sold most off - then started adding again.

This was a good trip down memory lane for me.
1buckie (God rest his soul), convinced me to join
the WKC after I showed him pics of the red OT.
All three pics are from 2013.
First is July, and 2nd and 3rd are from November.
I am quite proud of the Red Army pic. :o
A lot of effort went into acquiring some of these.
Plus the effort to restore a couple of them.
Sadly, not much pictured remains in my possession.
Still have the Ulime SJ, the Telefloral red miniature.
And, of course... the snowthrower! ;)

The beginning, summer of '13.
Now it's a collection, summer of'14.
The peak of the madness, fall of '15.

@jcnaz , you literally joined the club one day before me!
I have always admired your beautiful black kettles. 8)
Thank you!
I always enjoy the cooks that you share here, and didn't realize that we had jumped in the fray at the same time.
I am going to dig the current herd out of the shed, clean the dust off and take a new set of pictures.
