One medium vidalia onion rough chopped, sauteed with 4 tbsp of Kerrygold butter, 1/2 tsp kosher salt and equal amount of fresh black pepper. Beer added along with brats and 1/2 tsp caraway seeds. Sauerkraut was added and allowed to simmer for another 15 minutes. These were really good.... Cauliflower tots and garden peppers for sides.
looks good
That's a fun and simple cook, results look great!
Cheers
Thanks guys! Yeah, this is a great weeknight dinner that's super easy and fun to do. Also very tasty!
NICE!
It's always interesting to try Brats different ways. I put them on a WSM with beer in the water pan before, just for the check of it. Most people I know boil them in beer & then throw them on the grill. One person I used to work with would throw them on the grill first & then boil them in beer so that the crispy skin softened up because he liked them better that way.
Sounds and looks so good! Sauerkraut will be on when I finally get back to the nest!
