So, I have been thinking about using a gas kettle lid with the vortex for wings. Well, it gets so fricking hot. Wings got crispy even a little burnt lol in under 30 minutes. The grill was damn near purple. I'll do it again a little less inbound air flow, I think.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230813/0d8167da591d2d76acc4e044c76f7e19.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230813/61fe3aab20cff7b84135f54aed52952d.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230813/ad308c8ec723339bd9abe0a984ecf330.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230813/4888c5081477129e3859bbe545c59d40.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230813/a8301467f16b808bac2f3cd3c7508a5e.jpg)

I would say that also more charcoal and wood chunks than, IMHO, you really need. I never needed to filly Vortex more that halfway and I am able to cook about 40 wings in about 30-40 minutes on my 26er.
