With all of the anticipation over the red smokey joe on ebay, how about if we show some of ours? Harris knew I was looking for a blue wave and turned me on to a person in selling this on CL a couple weeks ago. It came in a few days ago. I didn't waste any time fitting it with an O'Neal.

Right. Kick ass blue in any case.
My Smokey Joe Silver with steamer pot mod- converting it to a very functional
Mini WSMThe modifications to the actual Smokey Joe improve its function
- Added a bottom Damper/vent handle
- Added a larger ash catcher pan ( a 9" aluminum Pie tin)
- Made and attached a Charcoal basket made of Expanded metal
- Ash Can damper cover allows more free flowing air prevents clogged bottom vent
- Top Damper handle ( added t-knob cabinet pull)
The handles are still covered with painters tape, still need to add some finishing touches to the pant job, and add 2-3 coats of clear coat.

There's some beautiful looking SJ's on this thread
There such a great little grill and obviously popular otherwise Weber would of discontinued them
Great to see you got the blue you've been chasing Duke
I guess there's only another a half dozen euro colors your chasing now ;)
The Simpsons SJ seems to be the most popular of all the logo'd SJ's
They seem to pop up regularly on CL and eBay , anyone know how Weber rolled them out?
Were they available in stores or used for competition prizes ,etc?
Duke, that turquoise is awesome!
Everyone,
I'm interested in a colored SJ for my son to use first as a toy so he can pretend he is grilling while I grill. Once he is older I envision him actually using the grill to cook his own hot dogs and such. Turn him into a grillfella early. He is only 8 months right now so I have time to find the perfect color lol.
So, if anyone is interested in selling a fancy color let me know. If it isn't too much and my wife gives her blessing I'll pounce! (She really loves the CB green so that is my first choice.)

Nice looking SJ's on here, where does everyone get those exotic colored Smokey Joes'
All I have ever seen was black. Would love to get a hold of a blue one.
I did see a Sam Adams Branded light brownish gold SJ, I should have asked the Store manager if he would be willing to part with it after the promotion...
I agree the Smokey Joe is a very versatile grill. I am using mine as a Shichirin/Konro -Japanese Yakitori grill/ a Mini Smoker and my go to grill for a quick cast iron skillet blackened fish.
Very cool Joe's and mods. LandgraftJ you wouldn't happen to be getting that dark green one in Jeffs picture would you? ???
Chadrex, you are this first person I have seen drill holes and put that OT damper handle for the bottom damper since me. I think it's nice looking. Great job!
Nope, it's not Jeff's dark green
Maybe we can get Hank to show his new panhandle. ;)

Harris, I'd love to see that photographed alone on a more neutral backdrop. Outdoors would be great, but find a spot that doesn't have a lot going on in the background, and a cloudy day or early light might be best so as to avoid harsh glare and reflections. This kettle deserves to be recorded for posterity in the right way, as do many other member's kettles. I don't have an SLR, but I try to apply these tips whenever I'm photographing stuff. Here are a couple links we could all learn something from. Different subject (Bicycles, another hobby of mine) but the recommendations would apply equally well to kettles.

Yep, I know what you mean and will do so in the near future. I was eager to get some pics out. Yesterday was a cloudy day. You can actually see the clouds reflection in the grill. It has a lot of shine. There are two professional photograhers who live in my neighbrohood. I am seriously considering hiring one of them for a "family" photo and some individual shots.

Man! Great deal there! :)
I know I have said this before, but that sort of thing just aint gonna happen here. :(

Here's an update. I just picked up the gray one yesterday. I also threw in a few extra pictures I had. The bottom ones would make nice posters.

Duke, that's a great collection.
Very nice Shaun...if u ever feel the need to find a new home for those let me know. :)
Interesting that the two light blue ones are distinct shades. Is there a reason for that?

Will do Terry. Hank, one is light blue and the other is Spanish blue.
Shaun, are those other photos European ones? I'm digging that red one...
They are, but unfortunately the red ones are exaggerated. They are actually brick, but i'd go for brick. Hey maybe weber will make some crimson smokeys.
Nice 'Joes Duke!
Love the Joes everyone
Those blue ones seem to be popping up a bit lately
I have the euro Blue Wave SJ and it looks similar to the SJ in your first pic Duke, the blue colors you mentioned, are they the weber name for those colours?
Is the Grey still available from C&B?
What is the SS cable on the black SJ?
Here's some of mine

Cool 'Joes!! :) Now I have a reason to buy one of those "Family" or "Live Laugh, Love" thingys...
That is cool Hogsy......sweet pic, nice little family

I love the pic too... The SJ's are on top of a cabinet in my dining room and they greet me every time I walk in the back door, which is quite often seeing as my beer fridge is out back. They've taken the place of my kids photos , hence the Family plaque thingy. Missus is not too happy but kids pics are now up on the wall
The SJ on the left is forest green with Heineken logo although it looks black in the pic, Golly gave it to me for my bday, some of you may remember he drove 8hrs the other week to pick it up, thanks mate
The legs are all bent out of shape, I spent some time trying to straighten them but there a bugger to restraighten , guess I'll be getting some new ones
Here's my newest SJS.

That's a nice lime SJ and the logo isn't bad either. I wish they would just put logos on handles so we could remove them if we wanted.
