Recently returned from 4 years in Guanajuato Mexico, where I did all my grilling on a Performer. When we returned to Sacto this year, I splurged on a Napoleon 500 as a hedge against blackouts and the wife's kitchen remodel. It's great and all, but I missed the taste of live fire food so much that I had to pick up a Blue 1999 22" off Craigslist. The gasser is fine if I have to cook RIGHT NOW, or need the extra real estate, but nothing beats skirt steak over carbón!
