I'm new to posting here, but have been reading here off and on for a bit. Thought I'd officially say hello and start sharing what I can!
I've had my genesis II for 3 years now, but still use my kettle way more. It is a Jameson whiskey version of the premium that a friend gave me about 5 years ago. Almost immediately, I added the SnS, SnS grate, and drip pan and put the unknown bbq hinge on.
Last February, I put the adapter on it for a pit viper fan and a probe port (scary putting such a big hole in the side). I have a fireboard 2 that I use to control it for low and slow. Works pretty great as a smoker and I can still use it as a standard grill.
Also put a lift on it last year. Went with some larger tires and a front caster to move it around.
Because of this club, I'm starting to look around for an older kettle and performer cart to tinker with. Would love to have that set up for just grilling and keep the Jameson for smoking duties.
Whenever that project starts to come together, I'll post some progress pics, etc.
