I wasn't aware this style of Smokey Joe was made in a non-logo red, it's a J-code from 1987. When compared to the 1985 G-code CGA it's slightly darker and upon closer inspection, has almost a reverse speckling in the porcelain. My favorite part of this little guy is the curvature of the cooking grate indention.
Separately, a go-anywhere table popped up on CL and I picked it up over the weekend. Neat little accessory, maybe I'll get to use it at the SE meetup.

Awesome score Charlie. I've been trying to find one of these reds in a L code. But still unsure wether it was actually still produced in 1989
