I may be shipping a special kettle off to Holland. I've never shipped anything outside the US. Anyone out there with some advice? I appreciate your input.

I use USPS also. It shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't go over the maximum number of total inches of the package. You shouldn't have any problems getting under the limit, as long as the kettle is a 22" or smaller.
Check with your local postal service to see what the total allowable inches are. If I remember correctly it's 108" max and can't exceed 70 lbs.
