I got this from a fellow BBQ guy, it was in pretty bad shape but I figured it's gotta have a little bit of mojo left as it had won some Grand Champion trophies and made a trip to the Jack Daniels BBQ Invitational.
Legs were like pretzels, hole in the bowl, missing the door, no waterpan let's face it -basket case!
So I get to work. Took care of some cosmetics, and it cleaned up pretty good! Cut the bottom off a 22" Kettle and went full Frankenbullet with it.
Weber rotisserie ring and a Gateway hanger. It needs tightening up and some gasket on the bottom but it's risen like a Phoenix!

I've got all of the parts, I'm gonna do one soon.
Should I use a kettle with a lid bale? Or do you think a bowl with 2 handles is better to lift the midsection?
