Hello!
First post! Yay!
I have recently bought my shelf and utensil stand and since then what I've noticed is that the temperature is really hard to control as the gap between the lid and the bottom part is no longer super tight because of the way the shelf and utensil holder fits.
Any one have any fixes? Or has anyone come across this as well?
I'm thinking I need some heat proof foam ring to make the seal right again.
Any help would be great
Happy cooking!
I'm interested here too.
I've seen several "universal" gasket kits, but I haven't found one designed for the Weber's "sideways Curve" just for the "downwards curve" of barrel types.
So i typically bend and mold the tabs that sit on the bowl to make as tight a fit as possible. And after I do that smoke a pork butt or something. The carbon , grease and moisture In the grill form that beautiful chunky self forming gasket . You will be fine after a few good cooks. Ill post a couple pictures of how I manipulate the tabs in a few
