Title: SSP Makeover
Post by: greenweb on July 02, 2019, 05:24:04 AM
I was extremely content with my fully restored Red N-code SSP, and enjoyed cooking on it for a few years now.... but it was time for a change. For better or for worse, small changes has been made.

Before.

Look great as always @greenweb.

Sometimes the most subtle changes yield the best results. Is that a grass green or spring green?  Currently have a grass  greens on a ssp frame.

Thanks Guys!

@Jules V. - Grass green.
Took this pic prior to doing wheel mods. I love how it looks lemongrass.

Little modification required to fit caster wheels.

Lemongrass looks sharp. Was it a performer or did you install the bowl braxkets?

Same Grass green. Not sure what it was. Maybe auto flash was on and flashed and altered the shade of Green.

For a minute i thought it was lemongrass. I'm color blind so i can't see reds and greens properly. Oddly enough  by far my favorite kettle colors are red and the lighter shades of greens.  Don't care much for the colors that i can see accurately such as blue, white and yellow.

Very pretty! How did you go about changing the propane tanks?

I made up a bracket to mount a newer Performer regulator/line for 1lb tank. About the same location as the newer (Gen2,3,and 4) performers.  I do have more info with pics on my restore thread if you want to look at it. Search for "Redhead SSP restore underway" on page 4.

Gorgeous.  I think it might be the prettiest SSP I've seen.  (I'm partial to the red mist... but I have to rethink that now.)  Congrats on a phenomenal looking setup.
