........ at this June meet up in Chicago, this may be one of the first ever and largest Weber kettle collections in history. I'm not normally hokey about this kind of stuff, but it's true. Why would anyone ever have a grill show and swap meet get together anyhow. This could be one of the most extensive Weber collections ever assembled....Just saying....
Wish I could be there! Can wait for pictures! Enjoy it guys
"my kettle is more powerful it will do almost anything."

Yeah, I was going to point out how obvious this seemed to me........
glad you spoke up on this perspective.....there may be more in actual quantity of WSM's at some of the big comps, but nothing like this for diversity & sheer cool !!!! & KETTLES !!!!
Was thinking about who & what all people would bring ~~ different items, to ramp up the hip factor, but I see your question in the other thread......
I don't think I have any unique grills but guess I can throw a couple in the van for road trip.
Doesn't have to be rare, just bring your favorite, or something you like or just to be part of it....It's like a car show..not necessarily rare just favorites it's about participation.....
I'll be bringing a green 22 OTS and CGA. ;) And some Black Walnut logs to see if Brian wants to use them for woodworking. Not sure if I'll have room for any more. If I did, I might consider bringing my first Weber - an 18.5 kettle. Maybe I should make a couple trips. I'm about ten minutes from the meetup. Of load up the trailer. 8)
Hank....you are like 2 minutes away
We need to post some pics on the Weber Facebook page.
I submitted my family portrait to Weber's website....they never put it up. There's other peoples grills on there. I wonder now if its because I have a mini WSM in the photo? ???
I am sure there will be a dedicated thread for this meet up. I can hardly wait. I will be in Canada fishing with my sons. Can hardly wait to see pictures when we get back.

I know I'll be firing up the kettle on the 15th whilst looking at my babies and thinking of you guys
Heck I'll even scull a Tinnie for every fella that attends(insert pissed emoticon)

Wer'e holding you to it! :D
I'd sure like to be there :(
If it wasn't for Montana being in the way , it wouldn't be that bad of a drive .
The truck will be loaded to the gills on the way down because of a lopsided trade deal with Zavod. Hopefully it will return much emptier. If there's room, Ill throw a few favorites in. Anyone coming have interest in a used Q200 that's priced to move?

"hopefully" being the key word here. Don't hold your breath!
That trade is lopsided in YOUR favor...Your moving one kettle and getting three!
Maybe we should just call this meetup: "Wheelin' & Dealin' with The BIG DAWGS !!!!!"
I'm bringing two grills promised to Brian.
I wonder if I should bring the wood for Brian. It's heavy and awkward and would require less handling just to bring it to his house directly. Plus I'm nervous about carrying it with kettles in the same load. If something shifts, the kettles would be on the losing end.
Hank...you're 2 minutes away...make another trip! LOL
My first grill shipment has been delivered to Jeff's house....I will need to fill my van tomorrow for trip number 2....
i have grills and pans ready to load up.
one problem though..........
THE F'IN GROCERY STORE HAD NO PORK BUTTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sooo. I fail.
No pulled pork.
I feel terrible about it :(
I even checked wal-mart (a sign of desperation, i NEVER go to walmart)
OH, is anyone in need of an IMUSA smokey joe pot? (uncut, brand new)
uh oh....we are gonna need some other main food. I only have burgers and brats. Anything else we can load onto the grill/smoker at noon?
ribs? A chicken?
I was planning on bringing a new IMUSA pot too. Guess Ill pull it out for some extra room.
Jeff, I can bring a variety of chix (uhhhhh chicken) if needed. Let me know.
not enough time for ribs, I usually put a rub on them the night before, then 6 hours in the smoker. Maybe something good but simple will come to me in my dreams, I just don't have time to do something like that with all the other stuff I have to do in the morning.
If you wanna bring something chicken...that would be fine too I suppose. That always goes well. Do you marinade them at all? A good quick marinade is Italian dressing. I know you are leaving early, so if you don't have time, that's ok...we'll figure something out.
I can not wait to see pics of the epic and stellar assemblage of Webers!
You could do some hot and fast chuckies for pulled beef sammies, or a nice sirloin tip or round (top? bottom?) roast to a medium rare for sliced beef sammies.
Tell me how much to bring and it will be along for the pilgrimage....no trouble at all.
T-Minus 13 hours and 4 minutes to the meetup! ;D
I wish I was going to be there. :(

I have pulled pork in the freezer. Should I pull some out?
Do we already have buns and other stuff to go with it?

Yep, today definitely did not disappoint!
