Was wondering about an upper grill rack and been looking through this forum and haven't seen an upper rack in you all's grilling pictures except for the little warming rack that came with my 22 performer .... today, I was going to make some wings, chicken tenderloins and throw a couple of them 2 inch thick bone in chops on the warming rack and make them indirect ,,, I found this on the net

Anybody have one , is it a good piece ... looking for some info from the kettle pros :)
There are a few different manufacturers of elevated half grates. Killa Grilla would probably be my first choice or keep an eye out for Weber's discontinued elevated half grate.
I've also seen many people cut a spare grate and make one with long bolts.

Just looking for ideas, may buy one or fabricate one .. thanks
Griz400 - The one you linked works well with Summit (24 inch ) or larger. for 22 inch there are two good options - one which Mr.CPHo mentioned - very good quality
another one is from adrenaline ( I have SS version and it's really very good )

@griz400 A number of people have made them.
I made one for the 22" and I love it. I welded 3 legs with feet on the elevated grate.

Thanks! Yes, I have made moinks a few times.
One person on here made a genius raised half grate. If memory serves he cut half of the grate rods off and bent the remaining open circle of the grate as a stand that was completely on the perimeter and out of the way. I don't remember exactly how he did it but that's the premise.
