I picked up an 18" WSM over the weekend for $100. Its well used but still well worth what I paid. I have most of it cleaned up but the bottom is not cooperating with me. I used my steel wool like I have on kettles but cant seem to get it as clean as others. Any other secrets to get it clean? Also, anyone have a heat deflector for an 18" laying around let me know.

Congrats on the wsm Brett.
I lay shop rags in the bowl soaked with cider vinegar. After soaking for awhile and softening up I use razor blades just like a kettle followed by steel wool.

I'm gonna try the cider vinegar, the stuff in mine is like concrete
