Title: Looking for a good cowboy coffee pot
Post by: Grillagin on December 19, 2018, 05:49:42 PM
I'm in the process of searching for a replacement for this coffee pot.  We bought it 40 years ago and used it for heating water, and for humidity during the winter at the cabin.  The porcelain or enamel and steel bottom finally rotted out last weekend.  I haven't found one as good, yet.  As usual, they don't make 'em like they used to.  I have found a couple blue ones online, but the reviews aren't good.  If anyone has a lead on a decent one, give me a shout.  I'll keep looking, and might have to hit the antique shops.

I'll keep my eyes open for one on estate sales and CL.

Great. Now I have the start of a red-white vintage enamelware collection.  What have I started?  Lots of goodies on eBay.  They fit in well in a log cabin.

Good stuff ain't cheap and cheap stuff ain't good.  I'm set with the new old stock one I found.  Should last for another forty years, which it probably already is.  Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

My mom's cousin was telling me about a company that is making stainless ones now (as opposed to aluminum).
