Good thing I've held out buying any digital thermometer besides an instant read. I'm going to keep waiting another 20 years. Just think what they will be able to do then.

20 years from now the probe will provide the heat and smoke for the meat. No more lump and briquettes.

Just my luck, I waited until my last thermometers broke to buy this. I ordered the smoke last week and have already used it. I wanted something with up to four probes. Just my luck!!!!

Christmas list
The Maverick XR-50 has four probes, $90. Don't know how well it works.
I can't imagine that the thermoworks will be as low as $90

Sign me up! The only downside to the original Smoke is two probe inputs. This solves that! Looks sweet!
I emailed them about it, here's their response.
Hello Joe,
Thank you for your email. Ah! You spotted it! This 4-channel alarm is our forthcoming product launch, Signals! I can't elaborate on the features beyond what you can see; we're saving all those details for the upcoming launch, which will be very soon!
Best regards,
Krista Dyer

As soon as this comes out I'll post my smoke for sale.

The only downside to the original Smoke is that you cannot update the parameters on the base unit from the app and end up with out of sync alarms between the Smoke and the app.
