Title: Hi there!
Post by: MarkSD on September 28, 2018, 05:49:46 AM
Hey everyone!  I've been lurking for a couple of years, and finally got around to creating an account.  I first found WKC a couple of years ago, when I decided to start using my grandpa's '91 kettle that had been sitting in my yard, neglected, for years.  WKC was a great reference for bringing it back to life.  I've since fixed up a 2012 blue kettle that needed a lot of work, and my most recent project is a '98 SSP.  It needed a new lid, several other parts, and a paint job, but it's coming together nicely.  Just waiting on some wood handles and badge from Grill Giant, and I need to figure out how to mount the regulator and igniter.  Grilling on it soon!

I think I'm going to start with the 1 lb tank.  I have given some thought to the 5 lb tank, but it seems that Weber no longer makes the mounting hardware for it.  But perhaps I can come up with some way to do it, sans Weber hardware.

Maybe you should just go with the 1 lb tank.  Quite simple to make a bracket for it.
