Has anyone added this hinge to a WSM? I've seen a few YouTube vids but still worried about drilling and it not working

I bit the bullet today(pardon the pun)and fitted a hinge to my WSM....it took a few beers to build up the courage. A 22WSM is $1000 in Australia 
I added wing nuts to the bolts that pivot the hinge to make it a little easier to remove and some fibre washers between the hinge and the WSM. I don't like metal on metal and my experience is it's the first place to chip the enamel especially being a moving part. I had to pack out the top of the hinge with two washers so it sat neat when closed other than that I'm stoked with the mod and think it's a better hinge system than the unknown hinge which is a lot more expensive.
