Found a NIB Performer Deluxe for $300 and assembled it yesterday, so I'm not too keen on drilling a hole in the lid at this time. I understand the OEM location may not be optimum but I'd like to replace the OEM Weber thermometer with something more accurate. Thank you in advance.
Don't take this the wrong way, but the OEM thermometer is nearly dead on....IMO I'd leave it all original.
